    My journey doing Ashley Horner's Momentum

    In an effort to get ready for marathon training and my sister’s wedding, I’m beginning Ashley Horner’s trainer Momentum. I picked this trainer solely because the workouts can be finished in 45 minutes or less and at home. Ashley proves you don’t need a gym or expensive equipment to get the job done. I’m putting myself up to the challenge to see what my body can do in eight weeks.

    DAY 1 – May 16, 2016

    Calories burned: 450 + 152 = 602 total

    Notes: I split up the workout because I am terribly out of shape. It took me roughly a half hour just to finish three rounds. I’m surprised at how quickly I completed round 4 compared to the first three rounds. I think I got into my head too much in the beginning, dreading the crazy amount of burpees ahead of me (250 total). I started off doing full burpees (chest and thighs touching floor) but switched to modified burpees (jump down into plank position then jump up). Definitely a good, hard first day.
